Kin, Zimmerman lead Carey to sweep of Upper

CAREY — As usual, Sydney Kin led Carey in kills on Thursday night, putting down 15 of them in the Blue Devils’ 25-15, 25-11, 25-17 victory against Upper Sandusky. But with Carey struggling a little bit early, it was another senior who got it going. Hannah Zimmerman had five of her nine kills during an 11-0 run that set the tone for the rest of the match.

Medical marijuana factory could come to Forest

If everything goes according to plans, Forest may soon be the home of one of Ohio’s first medical marijuana factories. Spin out

Upper Sandusky firefighters clear the scene of a single-car crash on the U.S. 23 southbound exit at Ohio 53 this morning. Lois Southward, of Upper Sandusky, was transported by Upper Sandusky Emergency Medical Services to Wyandot Memorial Hospital with a possible head injury after losing control of the PT Cruiser she was driving on the off ramp around 7:16 a.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

SYCAMORE — The controversial rezoning vote never even made it to the floor at Tuesday night’s Sycamore village council meeting, which was held at the Sycamore Fire Department. Councilwoman Dawn Needles made a motion for rezoning 3.3 acres of property on North Sycamore Avenue across from Bill Sowers Tree Service from residential to business.
