Local group gathers to destigmatize issues of mental illness and suicide As snow blew sideways outside the Wyandot County Courthouse on Saturday, 13 tiny candle flames lit the faces inside during a candlelight vigil to honor 41 people who have died by suicide. Upper Sandusky Mayor Scott Washburn said the contrast between Friday’s sunny, warm weather and Saturday’s frigid blowing snowfall was an example of what it may feel like to live with mental illness.
