Blue Devils 2nd in Carey Classic CAREY — It didn’t take Carey High School junior Tanner May long to secure his place in Carey High School wrestling history. May, who had a first-round bye in the Carey Classic on Saturday at Carey High School, faced Fostoria’s Aaron Johnson in the second round, where he pinned Johnson at the 41-second mark. Free-throw shooting lifts Rams over Eagles NORTH ROBINSON — The Upper Sandusky girls basketball team didn’t make more than two shots from the field in the second half of Friday’s contest versus Colonel Crawford. They didn’t need to. Pifhers’ hot shooting early carries BC to win BUCYRUS — The Wynford and Buckeye Central girls varsity basketball teams were nearly exact opposites of each other shooting the ball in the first half Friday night in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference game at Wynford. Wynford was ice cold from the field, going 0 for 11 from beyond the arc while Buckeye Central was red hot, making six of its nine attempts from downtown, which allowed the Buckettes to take a 19-point lead into halftime.
