TIFFIN — “To Kill a Mockingbird” is coming to the Ritz Theater at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25, 26 and Nov. 2; at 10 a.m. Nov. 1; and at 2 p.m. Nov. 3.

A Tiffin man was sentenced to eight years in prison Monday afternoon for his involvement in the overdose death of a McCutchenville woman. Aaron Schatzinger, 41, of Tiffin, was found guilty in a jury trial Oct. 3 of corrupting another with drugs, a second-degree felony, and permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony, in relation to the Dec. 20, 2017,

TIFFIN — The Seneca County Humane Society on Tuesday afternoon released a statement on Facebook about its frustration with what it said was a mishandled situation involving Debbra and Orville Alabaugh, who on Aug. 1, had 149 dogs seized from a facility they own in Upper Sandusky following an investigation of neglect and cruelty to animals at the property, which the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office deemed a “puppy mill.” One deceased dog also was seized from the property. An Aug. 8 warrant at the Alabaughs’ residence in Tiffin resulted in the seizure of an additional 17 dogs by the Humane Society of Seneca County.

Wyandot Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Amanda Fleming spoke at the monthly Women Helping Other Women meeting Tuesday at Don Tomasso’s in Upper Sandusky. She informed attendees about the Wyandot Employment Task Force and its mission to help connect talent with employment opportunities.
