Blue Devils finish strong in N10 sweep of Royals

BUCYRUS — Carey earned a 25-18, 25-20, 25-13 victory against Wynford in Northern 10 Athletic Conference volley-ball play Tuesday night at Wynford.
Rylie Stoops had a big night for the Blue Devils (15-5, 10-3 N10) with a team-leading 20 assists, 12 digs and 11 kills on 20-of-23 hit-ting. Emily Brodman added 12 kills and 12 digs, while Abbi Seager had nine kills, eight digs and three blocks.

McKinnley Kessler had 17 assists and seven digs, and Bayah Harsanje finished with seven digs and was 7-of-8 serve receiving. Seager was 15-of-16 serve receiving.

Brooke Frombaugh was 13-of-13 serving with three aces and 17 digs for the Royals (5-15, 3-10 N10). Cali Holbrook had eight kills, with Addison Sebring adding six. Kate McGuire tallied 14 digs, with Madisyn Watkins con-tributing 14 assists.

Carey won the junior varsity match 25-10, 25-19.

The Blue Devils play at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Colonel Crawford. The Royals wrap up their regular season with a trip to Bucyrus at the same time.
