KENTON — Thomas A. Brien, 74, of Kenton, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. 

He was born Sept. 27, 1947, at the former San Antonio Hospital in Kenton, to the late LeRoy and Lucille (Weaver) Brien. On July 5, 1969, he married Kay Ann Barrett and she survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are a daughter, Amy (Johnnie) Eagle, of Galloway; a son, John (Kriss) Brien, of Kenton; grandchildren, Thomas, Mara, Darrick Eagle, Preston, Maddix, Harrison, Gage and Witton Brien; and siblings, Don (Darlene) Brien, of Kenton; and Barbara Brien, of Boise, Idaho.

Tom was a 1965 graduate of Kenton High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army.

Tom was a supervisor on the Soil Conservation Board and a member of the Marseilles United Methodist Church. 

He was a farmer his entire life. 

In his free time, Tom enjoyed golfing and restoring antique John Deere tractors. Most of all, Tom loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. 

A funeral service for Thomas A. Brien is 10 a.m. Monday at Marseilles United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Pummell officiating. Burial will follow at McKindree Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton.

Memorial donations may be made to the Marseilles United Methodist Church trustees.
