MARION — Upper Sandusky’s girls and boys swim teams won a quad-meet hosted by Marion Harding on Wednesday evening at the Marion YMCA’s W. Keith Davis Natatorim. The Rams girls ran away with first with 157 points, followed by Pleasant with 105.5 points, The Wellington School with 81 points and Harding with 56.5 points.

FOREST — Heritage Christian Union Church swept Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church A with three one-run wins, 2-1, 3-2 in 11 innings and 3-2, on Thursday to take over sole possession of first place in Wyandot County Church Dartball play.

Upper Sandusky’s eighth grade girls basketball team held off Mohawk, 19-15, on Thursday. Jenna Kurtz led the Rams with 7 points, while Grace Vent scored 6 points.

The OHSAA has designated Friday as Military Appreciation Night for high school basketball games across Ohio. The Upper Sandusky High School athletic department is honoring U.S. Armed Forces during the Rams home game against Carey and will admit active and veteran U.S. Armed Forces members for free.

Upper Sandusky High School’s girls basketball home game against Ridgedale will be varsity only and will start at noon. Upper Sandusky Middle School girls basketball players will be introduced at halftime of the game. The Wynford High School boys basketball home game against Ridgedale will be varsity only and will begin at 6 p.m. Friday.

KENTON — The Hardin County Family YMCA has announced plans for holding the February Frenzy adult 3-on-3 basketball double elimination tournament on Feb. 16-17 at the YMCA in Kenton. The tournament will have men's and women's divisions and is for all adults 18 and older.

Carey locked in on defense and in doing so took control of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference with a 47-29 victory against Upper Sandusky on Tuesday night. The Blue Devils limited the Rams to 26.2 percent shooting and closed the game on a 21-3 run to pull away.

SYCAMORE — All season long, the Mohawk girls basketball team has been searching for the best way to string together four solid quarters. This time, a scoreless third quarter created a deficit the Warriors couldn’t overcome in a 36-28 loss to Colonel Crawford on Tuesday at Mohawk High School.

MORRAL — Ally Johnson scored as many points in the second half as Wynford did in the entire game, leading Ridgedale to a 43-20 victory Tuesday night in Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls basketball action. Johnson tallied 20 of her 23 points after halftime to help the Rockets (6-9, 3-6 N10) pull away.
