The Elks Upper Sandusky Middle School Invitational is Thursday at Harrison Smith Park. The boys junior high race begins at 5 p.m, with the girls running at 5:30 p.m.

BUCYRUS — Wynford High School is selling pre-sale tickets for this Friday’s football game against Colonel Crawford. Tickets are on sale during school hours through Thursday this week. Adult tickets are $6 and student tickets $5.

CAREY — Carey High School will be selling presale tickets for the Upper Sandusky football game to be played Sept. 28. Tickets will be on sale from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 27 in the hallway outside the main gymnasium during the volleyball match. Student tickets are $5 and adult tickets are $6.

GALION — Buckeye Central won its third straight Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls golf title on Monday but Wynford made it as hard as it’s ever been. After the teams split during the regular season, the Buckettes won the rubber match by edging the Royals in the N10 tournament, 421-424, at Valley View Golf Course.

Upper Sandusky played New Riegel tough in each set, but the Blue Jackets earned a 25-20, 25-17, 25-21 sweep in a nonconference volleyball match Monday. Kenedi Hayden led the Rams (2-10) with eight kills and four aces, while Eve Smith had four kills and 11 assists.

FINDLAY — Playing without top player Andrew Kuenzli, the Riverdale golf team finished ninth in the Blanchard Valley Conference tournament Monday at Findlay Country Club. Van Buren won its 12th straight BVC championship by shooting a 324 to win the tournament after going 8-0 in tri-matches earlier in the season.

HARROD — Jaidyn Thiel scored with 1:43 remaining to give Upper Sandusky a 2-1 victory against Allen East in a nonconference boys soccer match Monday. Thiel also scored with 19:17 left in the first half.

Riley Messersmith scored with 14:22 remaining to help Upper Sandusky earn a 2-2 draw against Bluffton in a nonconference girls soccer match Monday. Jenna Rodriguez threw in to Audrey Boes, who headed the ball to Messersmith.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk dropped the first set but came back to extend its winning streak to 10 with a 22-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-19 victory against Arcadia on Saturday. Madi Chester led the Warriors (10-1) with 20 kills, 20 digs and three aces, while Kaylee Ward tallied 15 kills and 11 digs.

KANSAS — Carey’s Sarah Reinhart was third to lead her team to a third-place finish in the Division III race in the Myron Cline Invitational at Lakota. Reinhart finished in 20:01.90, finishing behind a pair of runners from the team winner, Liberty Center.
