Drive Sober this July 4 holiday

There is a lot to look forward to in Wyandot County this July Fourth holiday with local musical festivals, backyard parties and fireworks. While not all festivities include alcohol, some will. That’s why the Wyandot County Safe Communities Coalition and local law enforcement agencies want to remind partygoers to be responsible and designate a sober driver.

UF to host Christian Camp July 8-13

FINDLAY — The Well, a free, Christian-based, weeklong summer theology institute for rising 10th-12th grade students who are interested in learning more about their faith, and how it intersects with and informs other aspects of their lives, including career choice, will be held July 8-13 at the University of Findlay.

July 1 deadline to apply for ARC scholarship July 1

ARC of Wyandot County is offering a scholarship to college sophomores, juniors or seniors, in memory of the Robert Hussey family, which was instrumental in getting education for the disabled in Wyandot County. The scholarship application may be picked up at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. The deadline to apply is July 1.

Sichko to preach at OLC’s weekend masses

CAREY — The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, continues to focus this year on the theme of “Consolation.” Father Jim Sichko will be the guest celebrant and preacher at the 5:30 pm. June 30 Mass and the 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon Mass July 1.
