Sealed Bids will be received at the Safety Service Director’s office, City of Kenton, 111 West Franklin Street, Kenton, Ohio 43326, opened and read aloud at 9:30 AM on December 10, 2025, for the purchase of 300 Tons of Treated Rock Salt for the Public Works Department. Delivery shall be F.O.B. and unloaded at the City Garage, 140 Gilmore Road, Kenton, Ohio. The bid price shall be firm through December 31, 2026. Quantities are estimated only and the Mayor and/or Safety Service Director reserve the right to order more or less, according to the requirements of the Public Works Department. The City also reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

The meeting is being held at Kenton-Hardin Health Department’s office located at 175 West Franklin Street, Suite 120, Kenton, OH. The meeting is at 12:30 p.m. on December 2nd, 2025, for those individuals who would like to share their opinions regarding the proposed fees.

Upper Scioto Valley Local School District Board of Education Seeks Applicants for Three (3) Vacant Positions on the Upper Scioto Valley Local School District Board of Education Effective January 1, 2026
The Upper Scioto Valley Local School District Board of Education (“Board”) is accepting applications to fill three (3) vacant positions on the Upper Scioto Valley Local School District Board of Education effective January 1, 2026.
Individuals who are residents of the Upper Scioto Valley Local School District, who are at least eighteen (18) years old, and who are U.S. citizens may apply for the vacant positions.
Cover letter with resume must be submitted either in-person, 510 S. Courtright Street, McGuffey entrance D or via email to Superintendent Hurley, churley@usvschools.org, in care of the Board, by no later than 3pm on December 12, 2025. Office hours for in-person submissions are between 8am and 3pm. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.
The Board will appoint a committee to review applications and to conduct interviews of interested applicants. Interviews are anticipated to occur in December, 2025.
Appointments to the three (3) vacant positions will be made by Hardin County Probate Court Judge Steve Christopher. Individuals appointed to the three (3) vacant positions will serve through December 31, 2027.
