Unknown Heirs of
Randy Tyler, Deceased
300 Railroad Street
McGuffey, Ohio 45859
Unknown Heirs of Randy Tyler, Deceased:
After receiving complaints about the existence of a public nuisance on property in the name of Randy Tyler, Deceased, at 300 Railroad Street, McGuffey, I inspected the premises and requested the County Health Commissioner, Hardin County Sheriff and McGuffey Fire Chief, or their designees, to inspect the premises and file written reports and photographs, as required by Ordinance Nos. 2024-10 and 2025-08 of the Village of McGuffey. It is our conclusion that a public nuisance does exist, as defined in those ordinances, in the following particulars:
1. The mobile home on the premises is unsafe and unfit for human occupancy. It has holes in the structure and the front door is missing, both of which allow for vermin harborage. There appear to be holes in the floor. The Health Commissioner concludes that the property is unsightly, unsanitary and unsafe. In this condition, the structure poses a health and safety nuisance to the community. In addition, high weeds are growing on the property.
You are hereby ordered to abate this nuisance within 30 days of publication of this notice by removing this structure and eliminating the weeds and debris on the premises. If you fail to do so, the Village may enter upon the premises and abate the nuisance at your expense. In the alternative, the Village may file a first degree misdemeanor complaint against you in the Hardin County Municipal Court. If found guilty, you could be ordered to serve six months in jail and pay a $1,000 fine. Court costs may also be assessed against you. Copies of Ordinance Nos. 2024-10 and 2025-08 are available from the Village of McGuffey, 404 Courtright Street, P.O. Box 304, McGuffey OH 45859, Telephone 419-757-2292.
