PARK MAINTENANCE LABORER
The City of Upper Sandusky is accepting applications for a Full Time Park Maintenance Laborer.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the general supervision of the Parks Manager, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance, operation, and improvement of municipal parks, facilities, and equipment. Duties include operating medium and heavy equipment; performing routine grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, and litter removal; emptying trash receptacles; and assisting with minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general facility upkeep. The position also involves performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
QUALIFICIATIONS: Completion of secondary education (high school diploma or GED equivalent), supplemented by maintenance and/or similar trade courses and six (6) months experience preferred performing building and grounds maintenance, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; must possess valid state of Ohio drivers license. Commercial drivers license preferred but not required.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must obtain Ohio Department of Agriculture Commercial Pesticide Applicators License within six (6) months of employment.
