A half-mile race was held for elementary students during the Upper Sandusky Elks Middle School Invitational recently held at Harrison Smith Park. Findlay St. Michael fifth-grader Adrian Stechschulte won the boys race in 3:00, and St. Michael sixth-grader Joslyn Hunt won the girls race in 3:17.

PANDORA — Kayla Ferguson served seven aces to lead Pandora-Gilboa to a 25-12, 25-11, 25-13 victory against Riverdale in a Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball match Wednesday evening.

In the flow of play, Riverdale’s girls are dangerous. The Falcons clinched their first outright North Central Ohio Soccer Association title in style Tuesday, netting four goals in a late eight-minute stretch to seal a 6-0 victory over a scrappy Upper Sandusky team.

BUCYRUS — Wynford has shown it can play with some of the best teams around, but it has yet to show it can put them away. The Royals dominated the first set and were two points away from a 2-1 lead, but Mohawk rallied for a 14-25, 25-21, 26-24, 25-20 victory in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night.

Bellevue swept Upper Sandusky, 5-0, in the Rams’ regular-season finale girls tennis match Tuesday. The Rams (7-9) were competitive in most of their matches against the Redmen (15-5).

Upper Sandusky had a balanced offensive attack in a 27-25, 25-22, 25-20 victory against Seneca East on Tuesday night in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match. Lillie Orians led the Rams (6-12, 6-6 N10) with eight kills on 22-of-25 hitting, Tori Damron finished with seven kills on 15-of-19 hitting, Kenedi Hayden had six kills on 17-of-22 hitting, Anna Johnson finished with five kills on 14-of-18 hitting, and Emily Hill had five kills on 18-of-19 hitting.

GALION — Upper Sandusky’s junior high boys won the championship Tuesday in the Crestline Invitational at Amann’s Reservoir Park. The Rams topped Fredericktown, 46-75.

The Upper Sandusky Lady Wildcats 10-and-under girls soccer team has a 2-1-1 record through four games. The Lady Wildcats opened with a 5-0 loss to Hardin County YMCA, falling behind 3-0 at halftime.
