ATTICA — Upper Sandusky built a two-set lead and then held on to top Seneca East in five sets, 25-21, 25-20, 18-25, 20-25, 16-14, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night. Anna Johnson led the Rams (2-5, 2-2 N10) with 11 kills on 26-of-29 hitting, and Lillie Orians had nine kills on 28-of-31 hitting.

FOSTORIA — Freshman Andrew Kuenzli medaled, and Riverdale finished second in a Blanchard Valley Conference tri-match Tuesday at Loudon Meadows Golf Course.

VAN BUREN — Van Buren found plenty of offense to take a 5-2 victory against Upper Sandusky in a girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association match Tuesday. Leading 2-1 at halftime, the Black Knights (2-2-1, 1-0 NCOSA) scored three straight goals to pull away in the second half.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Mike Szymanski scored a pair of goals to lead Lake to a 3-1 victory against Riverdale in a non-conference boys soccer match Tuesday. Cole Lloyd scored on an assist from Szymanski with just 2:12 left in the first half to put the Flyers (5-1) ahead 1-0, and Szymanski’s first goal came less than eight minutes into the second half.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale gave undefeated Kenton everything it had on the soccer field on Saturday night. In the end, however, the Wildcats were able to find the back of the net twice, as Landon Bartlett and Drew Hoppe tallied second-half goals on the way to a 2-0 victory.

Megan Hensel scored a pair of goals to help Upper Sandusky take a 2-1 victory against Ada on Tuesday. Hensel’s first goal came barely more than seven minutes into the match, and she scored again on an assist from Alivia Oney with 22:21 remaining.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Sydney Kin had 20 kills in just three sets as Carey rolled to a 25-8, 25-4, 25-9 victory against Riverdale in a non-conference volleyball match Saturday.

BELLEVUE — Brett Montgomery medaled to lead Upper Sandusky to sixth place Saturday in the Bellevue Invitational at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course. Lexington won with a 328, with Perkins second with a 339. The Rams finished with a team score of 353. Mohawk was ninth with a 378.

COLUMBUS GROVE — Carey’s boys were fourth and the girls were fifth Saturday in the small school division at the Columbus Grove Invitational. Minster was the boys winner with 56 points. Lincolnview (122) and Edgerton (148) were not much ahead of Carey (159).
