Evak leads Bucks past Royals

NEW WASHINGTON — Lexi Evak finished with 13 kills to lead Buckeye Central past Wynford, 25-13, 25-12, 25-14, on Tuesday night. Emily Stump added 11 kills, and Jenna Karl contributed seven kills, three aces and 10 digs.

Bluffton shuts out Upper, 3-0

BLUFFTON — Bluffton scored a goal with two minutes left in the first half and then two in the second half to take a 3-0 victory against Upper Sandusky in a non-conference girls soccer match Tuesday night. Brinkley Garmatter scored on an assist from Kayla White with 2:05 left in the first half, and the score remained 1-0 until Kayla White’s unassisted goal with 23:14 left in the match.

New Riegel sweeps Upper

NEW RIEGEL — New Riegel dominated the middle set of a 25-20, 25-3, 25-17 victory against Upper Sandusky in a non-conference volleyball match Monday. Lillie Orians paced the Rams (4-8) on offense with six kills on 19-of-21 hitting.

Cardinals top Packers, 42-20

The Cardinals defeated the Packers, 42-20, in a Midget League Football game Sunday. Offensively for the Cardinals: Ethan Hill, 7 carries for 139 yards, 3 TDs, two-point conversion, 2 catches for 33 yards; Gavin Frey, 9 carries for 100 yards, 2 TDs, two-point conversion, 3 completions for 44 yards, two-point conversion; Micah Shasteen, 1 reception for 11 yards, TD; Levi Yeater, 2 carries for 14 yards; Nathan Lewis, 2 carries for 13 yards.

Rams girls 7th at Galion Festival

GALION — Madelyn Shasteen finished 18th to lead Upper Sandusky’s girls to a seventh-place finish in the Division II race Saturday in the Galion Festival at Ammons’ Reservoir Park. The Rams scored 229 points. Fairfield Union edged Buckeye Valley, 110-112, for first place.

Oler leads Warriors at Lakota

KANSAS — Short-handed Mohawk was seventh in the girls Division III race and 11th in the boys Division III race Saturday in the Myron Cline Invitational at Lakota. Destini Oler led the Warriors by placing fourth in 21:04.49, while Madison Fredritz was 20th in 22:54.53.
