Carey runs away with 85-45 win at Ridgedale

MORRAL — Carey blew open a huge early lead and coasted to an 85-45 victory against Ridgedale on Friday night in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys basketball game. The Blue Devils (13-6, 8-6 N10) led 27-11 after one quarter, 50-20 at halftime and 70-33 after three quarters.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale and Arlington meet in a Division IV sectional final matchup a week from Saturday at Hopewell-Loudon. Watching their regular season match on Thursday, one would have thought it was the tournament matchup as both teams played like their seasons were on the line, exchanging the lead 15 times before Arlington used a 7-0 run in the final two minutes to pull out a 72-64 victory.
