Upper Sandusky Little Rams boys summer basketball camp is June 4-6 at Upper Sandusky High School. Coach Jeff Winslow and the boys basketball staff will offer instruction on the fundamentals of basketball for boys entering third through sixth grades from 8:30-11 a.m. each day.

Denise Silcox and Cody Clifford were the winners of Tammy Clifford Memorial 5K held Saturday. David Simon and Scott Platter were the second- and third-place male finishers, while Alixandra Woessner and Missy Woessner were second and third overall among females.

Upper Sandusky High School and SportsCare at Wyandot Memorial Hospital are partnering to offer athletic physicals for high school and middle school athletes (entering seventh through 12th grades) on May 30. WMH staff and local optometrists will provide physical exams for a $15 donation to the USHS Athletic Department.

CAREY — When Easton Roark got his moment to come up with a big hit, he was ready. The senior lined a single to right field to score both the tying and game-winning runs Friday in Carey’s 7-6 victory against Wynford.

CAREY — To the best of her knowledge, Carey junior pitcher Hannah Lonsway’s walk off RBI single against Wynford was the first of her career. With the game tied entering the bottom of the seventh of Friday’s Wynford-Carey softball game at Water Works Park in Carey, Carey senior Blayc Hacker led off with a liner that got past the Wynford third baseman and into left field. Felicite Smith followed with a line-drive single to left.

Tiffin Columbian won two matches in three sets and edged Upper Sandusky, 3-2, in a boys tennis match Friday. The Tornadoes got a come-from-behind win by No. 3 singles player Presley Eastlick, who lost his first set, 2-6, and then had to win a tiebreak, 7-3, to force a third set that he won, 6-4, against Landon Ramos.

BUCYRUS — Freshman pitcher Caleigh Rister threw a six-inning no-hitter as Bucyrus shut out Mohawk, 10-0, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Friday. Rister (2-2) walked Hannah Jordan to lead off the game and only allowed one runner after that via an error in the third inning. She struck out 11.

COLUMBUS GROVE — Riverdale’s boys were sixth and the girls seventh Friday in the Columbus Grove Bulldog Invitational. The Falcons boys scored 36 points. Anna won with 138 points. The Falcons girls tallied 27 points. Columbus Grove was first with 163 points.

NEW WASHINGTON — Carey’s girls edged Mohawk for second place Friday in the Stache Dash at Buckeye Central on Friday. Willard ran away with first place, scoring 146 points. Carey finished ahead of Mohawk, 97.5-92. Port Clinton topped Willard, 143-133, for the boys title, with Mohawk a distant third with 77 points. Carey was sixth with 58 points.

BUCYRUS — Mohawk snapped a four-game losing streak with a 6-3 victory against Bucyrus on Friday in Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball play.
