Grouped together

CAREY — This wasn’t the first time that the Carey girl's track and field team has won the Carey Blue Devil Relays, the annual track meet the Carey boys and girl's track teams host on their home track. It wasn’t the second or third consecutive time they have done so either. Thanks to eight first-place finishes in the running events and an overall team score of 141 points, the Carey girl's track team won the Carey Blue Devil Relays for at least the fifth consecutive time on Saturday.

Wynford rallies from 9-0 deficit

BUCYRUS — Wynford senior Noah Smith probably won’t want to remember his start on the mound. But he won’t forget his final at-bat. With the bases loaded and nobody out in the bottom of the eighth inning of an extra-innings contest against Buckeye Central on Wednesday, Smith singled to right field on a 1-2 pitch to score Avery Langenderfer from third and give the Royals a 12-11 come-from-behind victory over the Bucks at Wynford.
