BUCYRUS — Lainey Holman was 22-of-25 hitting with 14 kills and added three aces as Wynford picked up its first Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball win of the season 25-15, 25-13, 25-16 over Bucyrus on Thursday night at Bucyrus.

BLUFFTON — Riverdale split in a nonconference boys golf match, shooting a 193 to beat Pandora-Gilboa with a 210 but falling to Bluffton with a 168 on Thursday at Bluffton Golf Club. Andrew Kuenzli led the Falcons (6-7) with a 42, followed by Rease Haley with a 49. Trevor Hatter shot a 50, and Curtis Tracy and Ben Riddle both had 52s. Tyler Clark’s 54 did not count toward the team total.

BUCYRUS — Kayleb Keaton medaled with a 41 to lead the Wynford boys golf team to a 182-207 victory against Crestline on Wednesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. Josh Crall was one stroke behind with a 42, while Aden Caldwell added a 47 and Nash Farrell a 52 for the Royals (1-2). Dylon Robinson and Thomas Weithman (60) also were in the lineup.

Brett Montgomery continued his medalist streak and led Upper Sandusky to a 162-205 victory against Ridgedale in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf match Wednesday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. Montgomery shot a 1-under-par 35 and has been at least co-medalist in every match and invitational this season. He birdied No. 3 and shot par on each of the other eight holes.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Brooke Reese scored her second goal with just 1:16 remaining to make Elida 3-2 winner against Riverdale in a girls soccer match Wednesday night at Riverdale. Reese also scored with 11:23 left in the first half to give the Bulldogs (1-0) a 2-0 lead after Analie Jackson’s goal only 8:20 into the match.

ARLINGTON — Andrew Kuenzli medaled with a 44 but it was not enough for Riverdale in a 189-198 golf loss to Arcadia on Wednesday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course. Trevor Hattery added a 49, while Rease Haley shot a 53 and Caleb Tracy added a 53 for the Falcons (5-6). Tyler Clark (55) and Ben Riddle (61) also participated.

MARION — In a tightly contested girls tennis match, Pleasant edged Upper Sandusky 3-2 on Wednesday at Pleasant. Two of the five matches went to five sets, and another had a set that went to a tiebreaker.

Mansfield St. Peter’s scored a pair of goals in the first half and topped Upper Sandusky 2-0 in a girls soccer match Tuesday at Upper Sandusky. Sophie Tridico scored with 29:37 left in the first half, and 17 minutes later, Kiyah Wentz scored the match’s final goal.

CAREY — Carey’s Juliana Boes wasn’t sure what to expect. Having run on the Carey girls track team, she was familiar with distance running, but wasn’t sure how she would do running a 5K in her first high school cross country meet at the Upper Sandusky Icebreaker Invitational on Tuesday at Harrison Smith Park.
