ARLINGTON — Andrew Kuenzli shot a 39 as Riverdale edged Upper Scioto Valley 195-202 in a nonconference boys golf match Monday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course.

BUCYRUS — Pleasant rallied from a 2-1 deficit to beat Wynford 25-19, 17-25, 21-25, 25-22, 15-9 in a nonconference volleyball match Monday night at Wynford.

GALION — Wynford’s girls golf team picked up a 250-261 nonconference victory against Galion on Monday at Galion Country Club.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Looking to hold on to a comfortable 28-point lead over Hardin Northern going into halftime at home, Riverdale gave up a 33-yard passing touchdown with just four seconds to go in the half. The touchdown swayed momentum toward the Polar Bears, who scored 14 unanswered points in the second half, but the Riverdale defense buckled down and held on for the 28-20 non-conference victory on Friday.

MOUNT GILEAD — Penalties were the only thing holding back Upper Sandusky’s offense on Friday night, and even then, the Rams often were able to overcome their errors. Mason Vent threw for 321 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Rams to a 41-21 victory against Mount Gilead on Friday night at Mount Gilead.
