Brady’s goal gives Rams draw

BELLVILLE — Cameron Brady scored with 9:52 remaining, and Upper Sandusky pressed offensively after that but could not find the back of the net, settling for a 2-2 draw against Clear Fork in a boys soccer match Thursday. Eli Kinley assisted the game tying goal after Grant Handley had put the Colts (1-0-1) ahead with a goal on a header, assisted by Chase Endicott, only three minutes before.

Wynford improves to 2-0 in N10

BUCYRUS — Wynford moved to 2-0 in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play with a 25-16, 21-25, 25-19, 25-12 victory against Ridgedale on Thursday. Freshmen Dani Gleespen and Mckinley Britton had five kills each for the Rockets (0-2, 0-1 N10).

Carey JV golf takes 2nd in tri

CAREY — Carey’s junior varsity golf team split in a tri-match Thursday, shooting a 213. Liberty-Benton scored a 169 that would beat most varsity teams, while North Baltimore finished with a 260.

Rams drop only 6 games to go to 6-0

Upper Sandusky gave up just six games in its five matches in a 5-0 sweep of Pleasant in girls tennis action Wednesday. The Rams (6-0) shut out the Spartans (0-2) in six of 10 sets, which allowed the match to be completed quickly before rain moved in.

Scorecard error costs Upper

A scorecard error caused a disqualification and a second one-stroke loss in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play for the Upper Sandusky boys golf team Wednesday. Freshman No. 1 player Brett Montgomery shot a 41 that did not count, and the Rams suffered a 189-190 loss to Seneca East at Lincoln Hills Golf Club.

3 Rams score 2 goals each in 7-0 win

MANSFIELD — Grace Miller, Sierra Carey and Katelyn Hildebrand scored two goals apiece as the Upper Sandusky girls soccer team shut out Mansfield St. Peter’s, 7-0, on Wednesday. Trudy Daughenbaugh added a goal, and Abigail Gerber had two assists.

Plymouth tops Wynford

BUCYRUS — Plymouth edged Wynford, 182-194, in a non-conference boys golf match Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. The Big Red’s Dylan Patton earned medalist honors with a 41.

Mohawk wins

Mohawk’s seventh grade football team topped Colonel Crawford, 40-6, on Tuesday. Kendell Blair scored two rushing touchdowns and a two-point conversion run, and Collin Barth had a rushing touchdown and three two-point conversion runs.
