SYCAMORE — Mohawk pitcher Austin Shock put the ball in the strike zone and let his defense do the rest on Wednesday afternoon as the host Warriors topped Lakeside Danbury 4-1 in a Division IV baseball sectional championship game.

CAREY — Ridgedale scored a pair of runs in the 11th inning to beat Carey, 3-1, on Wednesday. Alex Brown had an RBI double and Austin Price singled in a run to put the Rockets ahead.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale topped Leipsic, 6-3, in a Blanchard Valley Conference softball game Wednesday. Taylor Farmer (12-7) allowed zero earned runs on two hits with 13 strikeouts in the pitching circle.

BUCYRUS — Qyenton Stone pitched a two-hit shutout to give Wynford a 6-0 victory at Bucyrus and the outright Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball title on Monday.

SYCAMORE — Austin Shock beat the throw to the plate on Cadin Emshoff’s grounder to third with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, and Mohawk completed a three-run rally against Buckeye Central, 6-5, on Monday.

Ada swept singles competition to defeat Upper Sandusky, 3-2, in a boys tennis match Monday.

NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford scored an unearned run in the bottom of the eighth inning to take a 6-5 victory against Carey in Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball play Monday.
