Dweazley’s reaches finals

Dweazley’s Repeaters scored four runs with two outs in the top of the fourth inning Monday to defeat Bookie’s Lawn Service, 8-6, and advance to the finals of the Upper Sandusky Junior League fastpitch tournament against the Upper Sandusky Fire Department.

Upper’s Knapp 2nd, Wynford’s Beachler places 3rd at Pine Lakes

MOUNT GILEAD — Upper Sandusky’s Owen Knapp finished second by one stroke in his 12-and-younger division Tuesday in the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament at Pine Lakes Golf Course in Mount Gilead. Knapp shot a nine-hole 46 that included two pars, finishing a stroke behind Pleasant’s Minoy Shah, who parred two holes, including No. 9. Wynford’s Jacob Beaschler was two strokes out of first, shooting a 47 to finish in third place.

Volleyball camp slated at USHS

The Upper Sandusky “Little Lady Ram Spikers” summer volleyball camp is July 20-22 at Upper Sandusky High School. Camp will be held for students in third through fifth grades from 8-10 a.m. and for students in sixth through eighth grades from 10 a.m. to noon.

Free youth trap hunt set July 7

SYCAMORE — Pheasants Forever is sponsoring a free youth trap shoot at 6 p.m. July 7 at Rogers Lake Conservation Club, 1748 Ohio 103, Sycamore. It is open to anyone 17 and younger, and shotguns, shells and targets will be provided to anyone who needs them.

Next Level sets camp at BCHS

NEW WASHINGTON — Next Level Basketball 419 will host a basketball skills and drills camp from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 12-14 at Buckeye Central High School. The camp is open to boys and girls in fifth through 12th grade.
