ATTICA — There was excitement and disappointment for the Carey cross country team Saturday at the Northern 10 Athletic Conference Championships at Seneca East.

FINDLAY — Juleigha Collier was sixth to lead Riverdale’s girls to third place in the Blanchard Valley Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Owens Community College’s Findlay campus.

OTTOVILLE — Coby Miller scored 45 seconds after Ottoville tied the match, and Riverdale took a 2-1 victory to complete the boys soccer regular season Saturday.

SYCAMORE — Fans who attended Friday night’s Upper Sandusky-Mohawk game more than got their money’s worth. The hometown Warriors overcame five turnovers to defeat Upper Sandusky 28-26 in a battle of Wyandot County rivals at Warrior Field.

ARCADIA — A quarterback change for Riverdale sparked an offensive fuse against Arcadia on Friday night. Alec Loveridge started in place of Tristian Davis and threw three touchdown passes, and Aidan Loveridge added three rushing touchdowns as the Falcons flew past the Redskins in a 49-13 rout.

ATTICA — Especially with the Northern 10 Athletic Conference’s leading passer out after the first series, Seneca East simply did not have the firepower to match league power Wynford and Zach Hoffman.

MORRAL — Most of what Carey did in the first quarter against Ridgedale was good. The Blue Devils found themselves ahead by four touchdowns with starters on the bench at the end of one period, and they coasted to a 48-6 Northern 10 Athletic Conference victory over the Rockets on Friday.

Colonel Crawford and Upper Sandusky alternated sets, with the Eagles taking the first, third and fifth in a 25-20, 17-25, 25-19, 20-25, 15-7 victory Thursday night to complete Northern 10 Athletic Conference play. Despite a loss, Upper Sandusky coach Kerri Thiel was much happier with the effort than in Tuesday night’s sweep at Wynford.

Gavyn Coppus headed in a corner kick from Jared Anderson to put Tiffin Columbian on top, and the Tornadoes went on to beat Upper Sandusky, 4-2, in a boys North Central Ohio Soccer Association match Thursday.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Ethan Melroy’s go-ahead goal 10 minutes into the second half was the difference in a 2-1 Riverdale boys soccer victory over Cory Rawson on Thursday. Coby Miller assisted the game-winner less than eight minutes after Zack Robke scored the equalizer for the Hornets to begin the second half.
