Montgomery leads Upper past Buckeye

NEW WASHINGTON — Freshman Brett Montgomery shot a 1-over-par 36 to lead Upper Sandusky to a 170-193 victory against Buckeye Central in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf match Monday at Cranberry Hills Golf Course.

BC girls top Mohawk

NEW WASHINGTON — Buckeye Central defeated Mohawk, 227-259, in a girls golf match Monday at Cranberry Hills Golf Course. The Bucks’ Sara Stacklin was medalist.

The fifth- and sixth-grade Upper Sandusky girls fastpitch softball team sponsored by East of Chicago Pizza took second place in the Seneca-Sandusky-Wyandot County League, finishing with two losses.

Senior citizens night allows free admission

Sept. 27 is Senior Citizen Night as Upper Sandusky High School hosts Ridgedale in junior varsity and varsity volleyball action. All senior citizens will receive free admission to both matches and a coupon for a free drink and popcorn from the concession stand.

McComb powers past Upper

State power McComb scored the first eight points of the match and rolled to a 25-7, 25-14, 25-6 victory against Upper Sandusky in a season-opening volleyball match Saturday.

Rams open with 8-0 win over Fliers

A thunder delay did not slow down Upper Sandusky in its season-opening 8-0 girls soccer victory against Clyde on Saturday evening. The Rams led 2-0 when the match was delayed with 14:02 remaining in the first half.
