Riverdale’s Kyle Evans and Gabi Rodriguez both were named to the All-Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association first teams in Division III released Thursday. Evans, a senior defender, did not have a goal or assist this year but helped the Falcons’ defense to allow only 1.39 goals per match with 13 matches where opponents scored two or less goals.

BUCYRUS — Upper Sandusky’s boys and girls were selected overwhelmingly to win the Northern 10 Athletic Conference basketball championships by media voters Thursday at The Bucyrus Diner. Returning three All-Northern 10 Athletic Conference players, led by N10 player of the year Wes Vent, the Rams boys received seven of eight first-place votes and 71 points overall.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk Warrior Alumni Basketball Night will be held Saturday.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Academic All-Blanchard Valley Conference awards were given to fall sports senior athletes with a 3.5 GPA or better. Riverdale honorees were volleyball players Cara Pauley and Carrol Pauley and football players Dustin Miller, Griffin Cole and Evan McKee.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk golfers recently were honored with additional awards. Chet Margraf was named second-team All-Northwest district, while Carson Weinandy and Billy Dunlap earned honorable mention. Dunlap, Margraf, Weinandy and Carson Weinandy earned Academic All-Ohio honors.    

FINDLAY — Ayersville is averaging 48.2 points per game while giving up 8.9. Wynford is scoring on average 45.0 points and allowing 10.7 per game.

Carey middle hitter Sydney Kin was a third-team selection on the All-Ohio Division IV volleyball team released Tuesday by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association. Mohawk setter Chelsey Trusty was honorable mention in Division III.

Tristian Davis was a second-team pick on offense and defense to lead Riverdale’s selections to the All-Blanchard Valley Conference football team. Davis, a senior, was picked on offense as an athlete and on defense as a defensive back.
