Bame, Wagner lead Carey to win

TIFFIN — Trey Bame and Chase Wagner shared medalist honors with 37s as Carey topped New Riegel, 154-180, in a non-conference golf match Monday at Seneca Hills Golf Course. Marcus Miller shot a 38 to finish just one stroke behind the co-medalists, and Alex Kimmet contributed a 42.

Pauley has 16 kills as Falcons sweep Wildcats

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Carrol Pauley smashed 16 kills Monday and assisted on eight others as Riverdale rolled past Vanlue, 25-19, 25-14, 25-17, to move back to .500 on the season. Pauley was a perfect 33-of-33 hitting and went 31-of-31 setting.

Mohawk wins 5th straight

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk volleyball team won its fifth straight match, all of them in three-set sweeps, with a 25-17, 25-18, 25-23 victory against New Riegel on Saturday. The Warriors (7-2) got 11 kills, nine digs and three aces from Destini Oler, while Addie Thiery added eight kills and four digs.

Damron leads Upper in loss to Monroeville

Tori Damron had seven kills, but it was not nearly enough in Upper Sandusky’s 25-18, 25-12, 25-18 loss to volleyball power Monroeville on Saturday. Damron was 10-of-12 hitting, and Rachel Martin went 11-of-12 hitting with four kills.

Riverdale reserves shine in 3-0 win

BELLEFONTAINE — The girls soccer contest between Riverdale and Ben Logan was a bit of a mixed bag for the Falcons. Riverdale did grab a 3-0 win, but coach Andrew Snook wanted his players to use the game as a tune-up for Wednesday’s key conference showdown against Liberty-Benton, and that didn’t happen.
