Tourney set

KENTON — The Hardin County Family YMCA is hosting a men’s “Around the Horn” one-pitch softball tournament Sept. 24-25 at the Home Run Memorial Park Little League fields on Ohio 292 in Kenton. The cost is $175 per team.

Tiffin Columbian edges Wynford

BUCYRUS — Annika Gerlach shot a 46 to earn medalist honors, but Wynford fell short, 204-207, against Tiffin Columbian in a girls golf match Wednesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. Hayley McCoy and Gretchen Harris both had 52s for the Royals, and Sarah Ogden shot a 57.

Pickett leads Riverdale in BVC tri-match

McCOMB — Mason Pickett shot a 55 to lead Riverdale in a Blanchard Valley Conference golf tri-match loss Wednesday at Shady Acres Golf Course. McComb topped Arcadia, 172-192, with the Falcons shooting a 254. Nick VanAtta scored a 63, Manny Vandermark shot a 65, and Josh Leopold finished with a 71 for the Falcons (0-11, 0-8 BVC).

Holly’s BG volleyball team tops Graboski’s Valparaiso

BOWLING GREEN — The last time Taylor Graboski and Jessi Holly shared a volleyball court was the 2013 Ohio high school state semifinals. On Tuesday night, the Upper Sandusky High School graduates met as opponents on the Division I college level, with Holly’s Bowling Green State Falcons hosting Graboski’s Valparaiso University Crusaders.

Carey keeps share of N10 lead with win over Upper

Carey remained as one of the teams at the top of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference standings with a 171-182 victory against Upper Sandusky on Tuesday at Lincoln Hills Golf Course. The Blue Devils (13-1, 6-1 N10) are tied with Ridgedale (6-1 N10) and a half-game ahead of Mohawk (5-1 N10) with Seneca East (5-2 N10) a game back.

C-R gives Upper 1st loss of season

RAWSON — Cory-Rawson made the most of its chances and handed Upper Sandusky its first loss, 3-1, in a girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association match Tuesday. The Hornets (4-3, 1-2 NCOSA) took advantage of their four shots on goal by converting three of them into goals.

Conner leads Mohawk to sweep of Upper

SYCAMORE — Emily Conner had nine kills and six blocks to lead Mohawk to a 25-15, 25-11, 25-8 victory against Upper Sandusky in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play Tuesday night. Addie Thiery and Destini Oler added seven kills each for the Warriors (8-2, 6-1 N10).

Royals snap streak with win over Tigers

ATTICA — Wynford put an end to its six-match losing streak by beating Seneca East, 25-22, 25-19, 18-25, 25-18, on Tuesday night. Lainey Holman paced the Royals (3-7, 3-3 N10) with 13 kills on 28-of-29 hitting, while Tara Zinser had nine kills on 20-of-22 hitting.

Upper rallies for 3-2 win at Edison

MILAN — Upper Sandusky seemed headed for its second loss, but it won three matches in three sets to top Edison, 3-2, in a girls tennis match Monday. The Rams (9-1) dropped a pair of two-set matches for an early deficit, but they earned victories in the other three matches.
