Mohawk girls rally past Hopewell-Loudon for 3rd win

SYCAMORE — Mohawk rallied in the fourth quarter to win its third straight game with a 36-34 victory against Hopewell-Loudon on Tuesday evening. Chelsey Trusty had 12 points, four steals and three assists, and Anna Stillberger tallied 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Warriors, who began the year 0-4.

Wynford tops Ashland Crestview

ASHLAND – Wynford got back in the game in the third quarter, but Ashland Crestview pulled away in the fourth for a 62-42 victory in a non-conference boys basketball game Tuesday night. The Cougars (4-2) led 14-7 after one quarter and 31-15 at halftime before the Royals (3-4) cut their deficit to 39-30 entering the fourth.

Team Blackhawk hockey

Team Blackhawk recently defeated Carolina Blue, 3-2, in an overtime shootout during the C-League tournament finals in the Findlay Men’s Hockey League at The Cube in Findlay.

Upper defense sparks offense in 84-56 win

A game and one quarter into Wes Vent’s return to Upper Sandusky’s lineup, the Rams’ offense looked nearly unstoppable, and the defense was pretty good, too. Upper Sandusky shot better than 60 percent and forced 29 turnovers in an 84-56 defeat of Seneca East on Friday night.

Dundore sparks Warriors past Royals

BUCYRUS — Confidence means a lot in basketball, and right now Beth Dundore and the Mohawk girls basketball team have it. Dundore buried five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead the Warriors to their second straight win, 39-20, at Wynford on Thursday night.
