Mohawk rallies past Bucyrus

SYCAMORE — Chelsey Trusty scored 14 points, including the winning basket with nine seconds left, to lead Mohawk to a 30-28 come-from-behind victory against Bucyrus in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls basketball game Tuesday night. The Warriors (7-9, 4-8 N10) trailed by as many as 14 points in the second half and were down four with a minute remaining.

Falcons’ Pauley breaks own record in NW meet

FINDLAY — Riverdale's Carrol Pauley broke her own meet record in winning the weight throw in the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches northwest district indoor meet Saturday at the University of Findlay. Pauley threw 54-7.5 to win the event and was third in the shot put with a throw of 40-4.25.

Carey’s Kessler to be honored

COLUMBUS — Carey’s Dean Kessler will be honored as the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches District 6 boys cross country coach of the year at the OATCCC clinic Jan. 26-28 at Easton Hilton in Columbus. District 6 includes Sandusky, Erie, Huron, Richland, Crawford, Wyandot and Seneca counties.

Ram Boosters having raffle

The Ram Boosters are selling raffle tickets for three photos in one frame, autographed by three Ohio State University legends in different sports: football player Archie Griffin, basketball player Jerry Lucas and golfer Jack Nicklaus.

USHS night set at Tiffin BWW

Upper Sandusky High School athletes, students, teachers, families and friends are invited to Buffalo Wild Wings in Tiffin from 6-9 p.m. Feb. 16 for USHS night when 15 percent of all sales will be donated to the school's athletic department.

Upper gyms to be refinished

Robert’s Floors will be refinishing the gym floors at Upper Sandusky High School, East Elementary and Union School from June 28 through July 9. The USHS gym will be closed during this time and will reopen July 10.
