Luzader, Bame help Carey rally for win

BUCYRUS — Challenged to step up in the second half, Carey did just that behind huge efforts by Trey Bame and Cody Luzader. The Blue Devils guards combined for 10 3-pointers and 39 points after halftime to help rally their team for a 76-66 overtime victory at Wynford on Friday night.

Ridgedale to play independent football schedule in 2017

MORRAL — The Ridgedale Local Schools Board of Education voted unanimously Wednesday night in favor of the Rockets playing football independently from the Northern 10 Athletic Conference for the upcoming season. Ridgedale Athletic Director Greg Rossman said in an email he would begin pursuing an independent football schedule immediately.

Upper 8th grade falls to Crawford

NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford outscored Upper Sandusky 22-4 in the second half to take a 33-16 victory in an eight grade girls basketball game Thursday. Gracie Manns led the Rams with seven points, while Lia Barth added five points.

Whitehall tops Upper in regional semis

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — As a deficit continued to mount Wednesday evening, so did the frustration. Upper Sandusky lost its first six matches to fall behind 31-0 and lost a 46-24 decision to Whitehall-Yearling in the Division II Region 14 semifinals at Miami Trace Middle School.
