Knapp takes 6th, Beaschler 7th

WALDO — Upper Sandusky’s Owen Knapp was sixth and Jacob Beaschler was seventh in the 13-15 division of the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament Thursday at Kings Mill Golf Course near Waldo. Knapp shot a 48 on the front nine and a 49 on the back nine for a 97 that included four pars.

Carey players part of Fostoria all-star game

FOSTORIA — Five Carey football players will play of the West as part of the 34th annual Sunny Farms Landfill East-West All-Star Football Game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Fostoria Memorial Stadium. The Blue Devils’ Garrett Billock, Devon Orwick, Xaxi Boes, Jon Racheter and Gavin Woods are among the 85 graduated seniors from 29 different schools slated to take part.

Rogers Lake hosting free trap shoots

SYCAMORE — The Wyandot County Pheasants Forever and Rogers Lake Conservation Club are sponsoring free youth trap shoots for boys and girls 18 and younger at 6 p.m. June 29 and July 13 at Rogers Lake, 1748 Ohio 103, Sycmaore.
