CAREY — Sycamore No. 1 walked off a winner in the bottom of the fifth inning and rallied from a 5-4 run, erasing a four-run deficit against Upper Sandusky Bookie’s Lawn Service in the quarterfinals of the SenSanWyan C League girls fastpitch tournament Tuesday at Waterworks Park in Carey.

CAREY — Upper Sandusky Bookie’s Lawn Service scored five runs in the first inning on its way to an 8-3 victory Monday against McCutchenville in the second round of the SenSanWyan C League girls fastpitch softball tournament at Waterworks Park in Carey.

COLUMBUS — Wyandot County finished the weekend with eight gold medals, but a silver medal finish in unified volleyball was one of the highlights during the Special Olympics Summer Games in Columbus. The Indians took part in unified events for the first time, and the volleyball team featured four unified athletes in addition to four Special Olympians.
