Curlis has 6 hits in Blue Devils win

MORRAL — Carey topped Ridgedale, 19-13, in a high-scoring Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Wednesday. The Blue Devils plated a run in the top of the first before the Rockets responded with three in the bottom.

Walks lead Seneca East past Wynofrd

ATTICA — Wynford could not overcome surrendering 11 walks and fell 12-7 to first-place Seneca East in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Wednesday. The Royals (6-9, 5-4 N10) scored five times in the top of the fourth inning to take a 6-4 lead, but the Tigers (16-1, 11-0 N10) came back with eight runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Tigers hold off Royals with 4-run 6th

ATTICA — Seneca East scored four times in the bottom of the sixth inning to put away Wynford, 8-4, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Wednesday. The Tigers (10-7, 8-4 N10) held a 4-0 lead before the Royals (6-7, 2-6 N10) scored twice in the fifth inning and once in the top of the sixth to make it a one-run game, but the four runs in the bottom of the seventh gave Seneca East a cushion.

Blue Devils score 3 in 6th to defeat Senecas

CAREY — Jordan Dasher delivered a two-run double in the sixth inning and Carey topped Tiffin Calvert, 4-1, in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday. The Blue Devils (5-6) won their third straight, managing to score one run off Kent State commit Peyton Deats in the third inning and then beating the Senecas after he was replaced.

Upper JV teams pick up victories

Upper Sandusky’s junior varsity softball team defeated Bucyrus, 18-7, in five innings on Monday. Maddie Mann had an inside-the-park home run, a triple and a single, and Hannah McKinniss singled and doubled.
