MORRAL — Trey Bame followed his coach’s instructions and helped lift Carey to its fourth straight win, 9-2 at Ridgedale on Wednesday.

MORRAL — Carey topped Ridgedale, 19-13, in a high-scoring Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Wednesday. The Blue Devils plated a run in the top of the first before the Rockets responded with three in the bottom.

ATTICA — Wynford could not overcome surrendering 11 walks and fell 12-7 to first-place Seneca East in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Wednesday. The Royals (6-9, 5-4 N10) scored five times in the top of the fourth inning to take a 6-4 lead, but the Tigers (16-1, 11-0 N10) came back with eight runs in the bottom of the fourth.

ATTICA — Seneca East scored four times in the bottom of the sixth inning to put away Wynford, 8-4, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Wednesday. The Tigers (10-7, 8-4 N10) held a 4-0 lead before the Royals (6-7, 2-6 N10) scored twice in the fifth inning and once in the top of the sixth to make it a one-run game, but the four runs in the bottom of the seventh gave Seneca East a cushion.

CAREY — Bridget Mullholand allowed just a hit and a walk in Carey’s 22-0 rout of Tiffin Calvert on Tuesday. The freshman struck out seven on the way to a win in her first varsity pitching action.

CAREY — Jordan Dasher delivered a two-run double in the sixth inning and Carey topped Tiffin Calvert, 4-1, in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday. The Blue Devils (5-6) won their third straight, managing to score one run off Kent State commit Peyton Deats in the third inning and then beating the Senecas after he was replaced.

ATTICA — Upper Sandusky’s girls were first and the boys were second in a quad-meet Tuesday at Seneca East. The Rams girls rolled with 152 points.

NEW WASHINGTON — Carey’s boys and girls both won easily in a tri-meet Tuesday at Buckeye Central. The Blue Devils girls topped Buckeye Central, 90-56, with Mohawk scoring 15 points.

OLD FORT — Old Fort scored early and didn’t look back in a 13-7 softball victory over Mohawk on Tuesday. Raeanna Garber (0-1) was the losing pitcher.

Upper Sandusky’s junior varsity softball team defeated Bucyrus, 18-7, in five innings on Monday. Maddie Mann had an inside-the-park home run, a triple and a single, and Hannah McKinniss singled and doubled.
