CLYDE — Three different players scored two times each in the second half as Clyde turned a scoreless halftime game into a 6-0 runaway victory against Upper Sandusky in a boys soccer opener Saturday. Kyle Baker got the Fliers (1-0) on the board less than two minutes into the second half and scored only 15 seconds later to make it 2-0.

McCOMB — Upper Sandusky was unable to close out McComb and dropped its season-opening volleyball match, 25-19, 19-25, 23-25, 27-25, 15-11, on Saturday. The Rams (0-1) held a 2-1 sets lead on the Panthers and had a chance to close out the match in the fourth set before McComb rallied.

NORTH BALTIMORE — Carey had a balanced effort in a dominant 25-6, 25-8, 25-10 victory against North Baltimore to open its volleyball season Saturday. Sydney Kin was 20-of-21 hitting with 13 kills, McKenzie Row was 18 of 21 for 11 kills, and Hannah Zimmerman went 19 of 21 hitting for seven kills.

NORTH ROBINSON — An experienced Colonel Crawford team was too much for Riverdale in its first match under new coach Trey Wheeler as the Eagles flew higher than the Falcons, 25-18, 25-17, 25-16, on Saturday. Jenna Seigel paced the Eagles (1-0) on offense with nine kills, but it was the dominant serve of Kayle Zizzo that really stumped the Falcons.

RAWSON — Haley Frey scored two goals, and Gabi Rodriguez had a goal and two assists to lead Riverdale to a 7-0 victory at Cory-Rawson on Friday to begin the girls soccer season.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Berlin Hiland opened up a 4-0 lead in a 5-2 victory over Riverdale on Friday to begin the boys soccer season. Taylor Bacon and Tyler Hart scored goals for the Falcons (0-1).

SHELBY — Though Wynford was more consistent throughout its lineup, Plymouth golfers posted the top two scores and took a 190-193 victory against Wynford in a non-conference boys golf match Friday at Woody Ridge Golf Course.

CAREY — Marcus Miller and Trey Bame tied for medalist honors with 38s as Carey rolled Thursday to its fourth straight win in four days, all of them at Bob’s Countryside Golf Course. Bame had a birdie on No. 5.

WILLARD — Wynford dropped its first two girls golf results of the season, falling to Willard and Oak Harbor on Thursday at Willard Golf Club. The Crimson Flashes edged the Rockets, 199-206, while the Royals finished with a 248.

CAREY — Trey Bame medaled and Carey easily won a non-conference boys golf match against North Baltimore, 160-207, on Wednesday at Bob’s Countryside Golf Course. Bame shot a 1-over-par 37 by finishing strong with birdies on his final two holes.
