MOUNT GILEAD — Wynford came out on the losing end of a non-conference boys tri-match Tuesday at Pine Lakes Golf Course. East Knox was the winner with a 180, while host Northmor edged Wynford, 190-191.

NORTH ROBINSON — The Mohawk eighth grade football team opened its season with a 20-14 victory against Colonel Crawford on Tuesday. Collin Barth ran for a touchdown and a two-point conversion, and Nathan Geary threw touchdown passes to Barth and Avery Stump.

Upper Sandusky picked up its first Northern 10 Athletic Conference dual victory of the season with a 171-192 victory against Buckeye Central on Monday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club.

BUCYRUS — Carey remained undefeated on the season with a 171-195 victory against Wynford in Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf play Monday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus.

CRESTLINE — Macey Zinser had nine kills and five aces to lead Wynford to a 25-14, 25-21, 25-20 victory against Crestline on Monday. Bailey Alspach was a perfect 30-for-30 serve receiving.

BUCYRUS — Emily Rudd earned medalist honors with a 51 to lead Wynford to a 225-233 victory against Seneca East in a girls golf match Monday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus.

FREMONT — Upper Sandusky used a forfeit in the No. 2 doubles match to take a 3-2 victory against Fremont St. Joseph in a girls tennis match Monday at Rodger W. Young Park.

BUCYRUS — Arlington edged Wynford in the second and third sets to take a 25-14, 25-23, 25-23 sweep in Jamee Burke’s first match as varsity coach to open the volleyball season Saturday. Addy Lafferty led the Red Devils (1-0) with six kills, Olivia Griggs and Kylie Rausch had five each, and Sarah Solt finished with four.

The Wyandot Sports Hall of Fame held its annual golf outing to benefit its scholarship fund Saturday at Bob’s Countryside Golf Course. The women’s winners were (from left) Jenny Weaver, Jen Spitler, Connie Frank and Vikki Bell.

CLYDE — Megan Hensel contributed to all of Upper Sandusky’s goals in a 5-1 victory in a girls soccer season opener Saturday at Clyde. Hensel scored three times and assisted twice, notching the third hat trick of her career in the 100th win in the history of the Upper Sandusky program.
