SHELBY — Mohawk defeated Plymouth and Northmor in a boys golf tri-match Wednesday at Woody Ridge Golf Course. The Warriors scored a 186, while the Big Red topped the Golden Knights, 193-198, for second.

MARION — Jodi Smalley got a win for Upper Sandusky at first singles, but Pleasant won the rest of the matches to take a 4-1 victory in a girls tennis match Wednesday. Two of the Spartans’ four wins were in three sets, and another was in a closely-contested two-set match.

Upper Sandusky’s girls finished in the top five in their season-opening meet at Harrison Smith Park on Tuesday. The Rams girls scored 154 points.

Lucia Rice scored with 2:06 remaining to give Mansfield St. Peter’s a 2-1 victory against Upper Sandusky in a non-conference girls soccer match Tuesday. Megan Hensel tied the score at 1 on a goal with 24:23 remaining.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk played well late, but league favorite Buckeye Central held on for a 25-18, 25-19, 13-25, 25-23 victory in Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball play Tuesday night. Runners-up to the Bucks in the N10 last year, the Warriors (0-1, 0-1 N10) got down double-digits early in the second set but picked up their play after that.

NORTH ROBINSON — Carey managed a road sweep against one of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference’s better teams, defeating Colonel Crawford, 25-23, 25-18, 25-20, on Tuesday evening. Hannah Zimmerman led a balanced offensive attack with 13 kills on 29-of-32 hitting.

BUCYRUS — The Wynford volleyball team earned its second sweep in as many nights, beating Bucyrus, 27-25, 25-20, 25-19, on Tuesday evening. The Royals (2-1, 1-0 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) swept Crestline on Monday evening.

MILAN — Sam Lopez scored a hat track, and four other players scored for Edison in an 8-1 boys soccer victory against Upper Sandusky on Tuesday. Carter Kramer had a pair of goals for the Chargers.
