USPD responds to calls for service

A man in the 300 block of Spring Street reported a woman was claiming to be his power of attorney and cashed a check meant to go to a tree care service the afternoon of Oct. 24. Contact was made with the woman who advised she was his POA and the man has a history of mental illness.

Linda L. Miller, Upper Sandusky, was cited for speed on East Wyandot Avenue near Drug Mart the night of Oct. 17. An anonymous caller reported a suspicious man walking around Nantucket Drive and talking on his cell phone the night of Oct. 17.

Safety Blotter: December 13, 2016

An officer responded to a private property crash at Pilot Travel Center early the morning of Oct. 16. Uros Kolakovic, Seattle, was backing his tractor trailer in a parking spot when he struck a truck operated by Randal W. Everette, Chatsworth, Georgia, causing damage behind the driver-side door.

Dakota A. Wilson, Nevada, was warned for expired registration at the intersection of South Eight and Johnson streets the evening of Oct. 15. Damon S. Privette, Cardington, was warned for a stop sign violation in the 200 block of South Sandusky Avenue the evening of Oct. 15.

Safety Blotter: December 10, 2016

A Findlay man reported a suspicious female at the KFC Travel Mart the evening of Oct. 12 asking if there was a hospital nearby and if it had metal detectors. The man advised the woman received a ride to Wal-Mart before the officers arrived. The officers could not locate the woman at Wal-Mart.
