Safety blotter: April 17, 2019

Jason Friesen, Comber, Ontario, Canada, was cited for speed (50/35) on East Wyandot Avenue near Rabestos Drive the morning of April 1. An officer assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a K-9 search on U.S. 23 southbound near the U.S. 30 exit the morning of April 1.

Safety blotter: April 11, 2019

A deputy performed a welfare check on a horse on the 15000 block of TH 103 the afternoon of March 25. The horse looked fine and had enough water and food supply, but the deputy asked that it have better bedding. The owner agreed to improve the bedding.

Safety blotter: April 4, 2019

Cody J. Sigler, Nevada, was arrested on a warrant out of Upper Sandusky Municipal Court the afternoon of March 23. An Upper Sandusky man reported his neighbors smoking marijuana on the 200 block of Richardson Drive the afternoon of March 23.

Safety blotter: April 3, 2019

An officer was flagged down by a vehicle on the 11000 block of Reservoir Road the early morning of March 20. The occupants asked about the legality of night fishing at the old reservoir and fishing licenses were presented. Officers performed a funeral escort on the 200 block of East Wyandot Avenue the morning of March 20.

Safety blotter: March 28, 2019

Todd M. Minnick, Monroeville, Indiana, was arrested for OVI after driving the wrong way on U.S. 30 the morning of March 19. Jacob K. Ross, Galion, turned himself in at the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant on indictment for trespassing in habitation the afternoon of March 19.

Safety blotter: March 26, 2019

Kylie A. Hutchins, Ashland, was cited for failure to control following a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 30 near TH 133 the evening of March 17. Darrell Williams, Toledo, was cited for failure to drive in marked lanes, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana and possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle on U.S. 23 near CH 97 the evening of March 17.

Safety blotter: March 25, 2019

A caller reported starving horses without shelter on the 900 block of CH 34 the evening of March 13. The responding deputy did not observe the horses to be malnourished. The owner showed the deputy water supply, shelter and food for the animals. 

Safety blotter: March 21, 2019

Rachel M. Patton, Upper Sandusky, was cited for driving under suspension on the 100 block of Broadview Street the afternoon of March 12. A caller reported a motorist had parked over the cross walk on Hazel Street at Walker Street while waiting to pick their children up from school the afternoon of March 12.

Safety Blotter: March 15, 2019

A caller reported hearing glass break near the corner of South Sandusky Avenue and Spring Street the morning of March 9. The responding officers were unable to locate any broken glass. A caller reported a woman asleep in her vehicle in front of First Federal Bank the morning of March 9.
