HHWP CAC’s HEAP summer electric bill assistance starts Friday

FINDLAY — The Hardin Hancock Wyandot Putnam Community Action Commission’s HEAP 2016 summer crisis program will begin Friday and continue through Aug. 31, or until funding is fully exhausted. The program can provide a payment of as much as $300 toward a regulated or as much as $500 toward an unregulated electric bill, a window air conditioner and/or a box fan or tower oscillating electric fan.

Alyssa A. Gottfried, Upper Sandusky, was arrested on a warrant out of Upper Sandusky Municipal Court the evening of June 16 for license forfeiture suspension. Cameron A. Brown, Columbus, turned himself into the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office and was arrested the morning of June 17 on an indictment warrant for one count of possession of a controlled substance.

SWCD supervisors to be elected

Two supervisors will be elected at the Wyandot Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual banquet Aug. 25 to serve three years beginning in January. Each county soil and water conservation district in Ohio is governed by a board of five local supervisors.

FSA: 2016 acreage dates and changes

In order to comply with Farm Service Agency program eligibility requirements, all producers are encouraged to visit the Wyandot County FSA office to file an accurate crop certification report by the applicable deadline. If current maps are needed, call the office so they are ready for pickup.
