WHARTON — Wharton Village Council pressed forward with its attempt to place a property tax on the November ballot Monday night. Council received an update on the proposed 2-mill levy, estimated at 20 cents for every $100 of valuation.

Maintenance work has continued throughout the summer in the Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District. Board member Jim Morris said at Monday night’s school board meeting volunteer work on the bus garage shed is in progress, and it recently was discovered after removing siding that five posts were rotting and had to be replaced.

FINDLAY — An Upper Sandusky man died in a single-vehicle crash north of Findlay early Sunday morning, the Findlay Courier reported Monday. Keyonte Snow, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
