Woman gets four years for burglary

A Tiffin woman was sentenced to four years in prison in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court on Monday afternoon. Kendra M. Rochester, 30, was sentenced for a second-degree felony charge of burglary after pleading guilty to the charge in November.

Hoffman to retire at end of school year

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Superintendent Eric Hoffman will be saying goodbye to Riverdale at the end of this school year. At the district’s school board meeting Monday night, Hoffman read and the board approved a motion accepting his retirement resignation as Riverdale superintendent effective Aug. 1, with a last day worked of July 31.

Tractor knocks out power line, causes outage

A tractor pulling an implement clipped a power line on Ohio 53 near the Wyandot County Fairgrounds around 4:30 p.m. Friday, causing several buildings in the surrounding area, including Upper Sandusky High School, to lose power for about 45 minutes, according to information from the Upper Sandusky Fire Department.
