The Wyandot County Court of Common Pleas will receive more than $105,000 in grant funds from the Ohio Supreme Court. The Wyandot court system received two grants from a money pool of $2.8 million.

The Wyandot County Board of Commissioners met with county Engineer Mike Kohl to review bids for bridge and road paving work to be done this summer. Two bids were received for work to be done to bridges on TH 67 near Marseilles and CH 97 between CH 53 and Ohio 53.

TIFFIN — The final Friday Night Live of the season is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday at the National Theatre at The Ritz, 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin. Featured artists are Scott Stiert, a singer and songwriter from Milan, The Twisted Strands- folk music trio of Dave Mitten, Renee Williams and Tamilyn Helbing of Tiffin, and the trumpet and bass duo of Ed Adams and Nathan Santos of Tiffin.

MARION — Julia Hansen, executive director of Theater Masters, along with up-and-coming playwright Stephen Cedars visited Ohio State Marion’s Morrill Hall Auditorium April 19 to work on a unique project with Ohio State Marion student writers.

TIFFIN — The Ritz Players have announced the cast for “Scotland Road” to be presented at 7:30 p.m. May 12, 13 and 20 and 2 p.m. May 21 at The National Theatre at The Ritz, 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin. The cast includes, Michelle Castleman of Tiffin as The Woman; Seth Innis, Tiffin, as John; Sandy Kimmel, Tiffin, as Halbrech; and Angela Patuto, Tiffin, as Frances Kittle.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University will present “Sondheim on Sondheim,” a musical revue, for the May Day musical on May 5 and 6. Among the participating students is Taylor Blum, of Wharton and the BU class of 2018.

Bald eagles in Ohio previously were nearly impossible to find due to chemicals in their food supply and habitation destruction, but now there are 12 nests in Wyandot County, wildlife biologist Keith Lott at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said.

CAREY — Carey Council reviewed notes from a recent Link meeting during the legislators’ regular meeting Monday. Link, which is funding 50 percent of the cost to place recycling bins downtown, would like to see a downtown committee organized to address and maintain the village’s beautification.

Emaya H. Sutton, Toledo, was cited for possession of marijuana, speed and a seatbelt violation on U.S. 23 near CH 4, Salem Township, the night of April 22. Scott E. Benson, Nevada, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 30 the night of April 22.
