Wynford officials consider building new school BUCYRUS — Wynford community members shared ideas with architect Brent Buehrer on a potential new school building during a meeting Tuesday evening in the Wynford auditorium. Wynford is looking for a solution for replacing aging modulars used to house the district’s junior high students and has taken steps toward putting an issue on the ballot in November for a new junior high and high school building, hiring the Buehrer Group during May’s board meeting. Ohio hunters check more than 21,000 wild turkeys COLUMBUS — Wyandot County turkey hunters tagged 108 turkeys during the spring turkey season this May, an increase from the 103 harvested in 2016. Ohio hunters checked a total of 21,015 wild turkeys during the combined 2017 spring wild turkey south zone hunting season, northeast zone hunting season, and the youth wild turkey hunting season, April 22 through May 28, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
