Ciera L. Chesser, Dundas, was picked up from the Middleport Police Department, Middleport, early the morning of June 1 after she had been arrested on a probation violation.

The cast of “Annie” takes the stage this weekend at the Star Theatre in downtown Upper Sandusky. The opening-night performance Friday is sold out, but tickets still are available for shows at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, June 30 and July 2 and 2 p.m. July 1. MARION — Since 1998, “Set the Stage” theater camps have been a part of the Marion Palace Theatre’s programming. This summer, Palace management is expanding the arts camp to offer students an all-day, weeklong experience for youth 6-14. Registration is open for “Set the Stage 2.0,” which runs July 24-July 28 and July 31 through Aug. 4.

SYCAMORE — First National Bank of Sycamore will pick up the tab for one free swim day and one free pizza night each week at the Sycamore Community Pool this summer. Thursday is the first free swim day and free pizza will be served Tuesday, followed by another free swim day Wednesday.

Hundreds of Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure riders set up a tent city Tuesday at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds in Upper Sandusky. They toured the city and sites like the Wyandot County courthouse, watched the Shawshank Redemption movie, took in local entertainment and eats, and spent the night before heading back out this morning on their bike ride across the state. …

Representatives from Ohio History Connection and the Ohio Development Services Agency visited the Wyandot County Chamber of Commerce on Monday morning as part of a Historical Tax Credit Coffee tour through Northwest Ohio.

MARION — A Marion woman was pronounced dead on the scene after a one-vehicle crash in Marion Township early this morning. Two young kids suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

After 18 years in historical building restoration, Adam Obenour and his wife Heather got a chance to open up their own restoration company. They quickly landed a couple of projects to keep them busy into their first summer. Cornerstone Historical Building Restoration currently is handling renovations at the Wyandot County Museum.
