Members of the Upper Sandusky Community Library on Thursday voted to spend $6,600 to replace the carpet in the library’s basement.

An Upper Sandusky man convicted of two felony charges involving the manufacturing of meth was sentenced to eight years in prison Thursday morning. Wyandot County Common Pleas Court Judge Kate Aubry appointed attorney Todd Workman to represent Benjamin M. Gamble, 26, after Gamble arrived at court without a defense lawyer.

Changes to federal skilled nursing regulations and the proposed state budget could have a financial impact on Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Wyandot County Commissioners met with nursing home Director Curtis O’Neal on Thursday to hear about the home’s ongoing process of implementing improvements.

FOREST — Work should be starting soon on the water main project in Forest which is designed to improve water pressure to the northern portion of the business district by replacing antiquated lines. Village Administrator Wes Davis reported to council Thursday there had been eight bids received from contractors interested in the project.
