Upper native to speak at Memorial Day

After many years of waiting, an Upper Sandusky native finally is getting his chance to address his hometown and talk about his service to his country. Col. Keith Newell, a United States Air Force veteran, is the featured guest speaker at Upper Sandusky’s Memorial Day ceremony Monday.

Asphalt, sewer work to continue next week

Bucyrus Materials was in Upper Sandusky this past week milling the top layers of existing asphalt on North Eighth, Church, and North and South Seventh streets. The company was expected to finish Friday. It will begin trench patching to prep those areas for a final layer of asphalt Wednesday. It’s unclear when a top layer of asphalt will be done.

Pawzfest celebrates 15 years

Wyandot County Humane Society’s Pawzfest dog walk and fun day celebrates 15 years June 11. Dog owners and their fur babies are invited to take part in a 1-kilometer walk at Harrison Smith Park in Upper Sandusky, followed by contests, raffles and demonstrations.
