During the next several months, area residents may notice people with cameras in their neighborhoods. They are working for Wyandot County Auditor George “Bill” Kitzler, who is in the process of a state-mandated revaluation of all property in the county.

A Wyandot County sheriff’s deputy chased and lassoed a horse at-large early Wednesday morning. Deputy Carson Orians came upon a horse trotting down the roadway in the 14000 block of Ohio 53 west of Upper Sandusky.

Please, Ohio lawmakers, don’t meddle (again) with the PLF! Following the fall of Ohio’s public libraries’ state funds after the recession of 2008, libraries slowly have crawled back up during the last almost 10 years to a much better place.

As we have celebrated Memorial Day 2017, we should reflect on what Memorial Day really means to us and to all Wyandot County service members who couldn’t be here this weekend to celebrate. It is a time to remember our service members who gave their all so we could have our freedom.

A juvenile was reported to be refusing to go to school outside of Union School the morning of May 17. After a counselor spoke with the girl, she agreed to go to school.
