Patrick C. Fisher, Ann Arbor, Michigan, was taken into custody for cocaine possession early Friday morning following a traffic stop on U.S. 23/30 south of East Wyandot Avenue.

The Wyandot Classics and Cruisers car and truck club is planning its 17th annual Autumn Cruise with hopes to have another successful year to benefit Hospice of Wyandot County.

BUCYRUS — A local business recently provided a helping hand to the Wynford Local School District to prevent a disruption in learning. Hempy Water of Forest provided water to both the high school and elementary school on short notice when the district received word it would be under a boil alert.

Marseilles Village Council met in regular session on Tuesday. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Rick Arnold.

MARSEILLES — A recycling drive is scheduled from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Marseilles Park. Aluminum cans, steel cans, clear and colored glass, newspapers, magazines, plastic food containers, cardboard and chipboard will be accepted.

Dave Bastel stepped up to the No. 1 tee box just outside the clubhouse at Lincoln Hills Golf Club on Sunday with an 8-iron. The longtime club owner was the first to shoot on one of four new holes that were premiered during a special 90th anniversary tournament Sunday.

Beth Montgomery has been named the new assisted living director at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky. Montgomery recently completed the Certified Executive for Assisted Living (CEAL) and has passed the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrators Examination to earn the CEAL designation.

The Hancock Hardin Wyandot Putnam Community Action Commission is offering a Micro Business Development program for local entrepreneurs. The program consists of thirteen sessions held from 5:45-8:45 p.m. on Thursdays beginning Sept. 28, 2017.

The Echocardiography Laboratories at Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH) and Bluffton Hospital have been reaccredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). The BVH and Bluffton echo labs perform echocardiograms, a non-invasive test used to assess different areas of the heart and can detect heart disease or signs of serious conditions.
