Dear editor, We are writing in support of Angeline’s Developmental Disabilities levy on Nov. 7. We are the parents of twin boys who are receiving developmental disabilities services through Angeline.

Dear editor, We are writing to support the Angeline developmental disabilities levy. We are self-advocates. We are a group of adults who receive services.

Seniors were treated to several exhibits, food and education opportunities at the Senior Expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Evangelical in Upper Sandusky. Wyandot County law enforcement put on a workshop to discuss vigilance for seniors in Wyandot County.

The annual Halloween parade was held Thursday night in Upper Sandusky.

Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. In cooperation with Operation Medicine Cabinet, residents are encouraged to turn in unused or expired medication for safe disposal from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. County drop-off locations are the Upper Sandusky Police Department at 120 N. Seventh St., the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Department at 125 E. Wyandot Ave., and the Carey Police Department at 127 N. Vance Street, Carey.

Upper Sandusky City Council voted unanimously Wednesday in a special meeting to join a coalition of over 100 municipalities retaining special counsel to challenge the constitutionality of amendments to Chapter 718 of the Ohio Revised Code relating to municipal income tax. This all dates back to the passage of HB5 by the state in December 2014, which forced a wide range of changes on city income tax.

On Nov. 7, the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board has a levy on the ballot for Wyandot County residents. MHRS Executive Director Mircea Handru has been making the rounds in Wyandot County at all city and village council meetings trying to raise awareness for the .6-mill levy.
