MOUNT BLANCHARD — The staff and students of Riverdale know how to make their veterans feel appreciated. At an assembly for veterans in front of the middle and high school students Friday morning, the band played a melody of patriotic songs. The high school choir serenaded the veterans with “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

Thursday morning, the Wyandot County Commissioners declared November as National Hospice and Palliative Care Month. A banner will be on display inside the Wyandot County Courthouse.

James A. Clark, Forest, charged by the state with violating a protective order, amended plea to no contest, finding deferred pending pre-sentence investigation.

Jeffrey E. Snider, Upper Sandusky, was served a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment at the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office the afternoon of Sept. 19.

The public is invited to an open house from 12-4 p.m. Saturday at the new Wyandot County EMS facility at the corner of North Warpole and Guthrie Streets in Upper Sandusky. A special flag raising ceremony will take place at noon.

The Wyandot County Department of Job and Family Services is looking for individuals interested in becoming foster parents.

On Thursday, the Ohio Department of Transportation held its annual county-by-county readiness inspection.

The Upper Sandusky High School Drama Department will present “Not Your Average Zombie Apocolypse” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. After a science fair project goes awry, zombies begin to take over Eastdale High.

BUCYRUS — The Crawford County Community Concert Association has announced its Christmas show, The Redneck Tenors with Mathew Lord, Blake Davidson and Jonathan Fruge at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Bucyrus Elementary School auditorium, 245 Woodlawn Ave., Bucyrus.
